Tana Mongeau Called "Fake" After Jamie Lynn Spears Follows Her Instagram Account

On October 12, Tana Mongeau tweeted out to fans that Jamie Lynn Spears just followed her on Instagram. Fans, however, was quick to label Tana Mongeau as "fake" after she followed Jamie Lynn Spears back.

Let's rewind.

For those who don't know, Tana had publicly defended Britney Spears throughout 2020 to present, tweeting out in support of the “Free Britney Movement" and making disparaging remarks about her father, Jamie, for his role in Britney's conservatorship.

Tana also tweeted about the most recent documentary titled "Controlling Britney Spears", a follow-up documentary to "Framing Britney Spears" that was released in September 2021.

Tana didn't stop there as she also called out Jamie Lynn Spears for not advocating for her sister's rights.

At the time, in January 2021, Jamie Lynn had appeared on Instagram Live to declare that Elon Musk's Tesla was a "secret cat killer", citing that it was "a problem that we really gotta fix". She explained that the car is too quiet and cats are unable to hear them coming, which leads to "unfortunate things".

Tana was quick to slam Jamie Lynn for fighting for cat rights on Instagram Live instead of her sister's rights (read more here). Not only that, but Tana also accused Jamie Lynn of actively fighting to keep Britney in the conservatorship due to the benefits she was receiving.

Fast forward, and on October 12, Tana tweeted out to fans that Jamie Lynn Spears had just followed her on Instagram:

However, fans immediately noticed that Tana followed Jamie Lynn back on Instagram and accused Tana as being "fake".

Tana has stayed silent following this but it appears she is no longer following Jamie Lynn’s Instagram account.
