On 6 October, Tana Mongeau revealed how a fan threw herself in between Tana and an aggressive member of the public after a confrontation took place between the two parties.

 

On Tana's Cancelled podcast, Tana began by retelling a story of when she recently encountered a loyal fan who's been consistently attending her tours for years.

I "A couple nights before all of this, we were at this rooftop bar in New York and I was taking a photo with a fan."

​

​

I "She was so sweet. Love her to f*cking death. I’ve known her for years. She came to my tours. I’ve known her forever."

​

 

However, as Tana started to take a picture with her fan, a woman suddenly grabbed Tana's shoulders and shouted at her for not being "humble".

​

 

I "And we’re taking a photo, like an update glow-up photo, and this girl comes up to me and grabs me by the shoulder and goes, 'I don’t give a f*ck what you do on TikTok, you need to f*cking humble yourself.'"

​

 

Confused, Tana asked the woman why she was so upset with her. The woman responded that it was because Tana was arrogantly taking pictures with her fans.

I "[She says,] 'Taking f*cking photos with your fans? You need to f*cking humble yourself.' And I’m like, 'What do you mean? I’m sitting at this table with my friends and we’re like, secluded. We’re just doing our own thing [...]'"

​

 

Tana also defended herself in the podcast, saying that she always thanks her fans for supporting her and is always happy to stop and take a photo or a TikTok with fans.

I "When it comes to meeting my fans, I’m never a c*nt. [...] I’m going to stop and say thank you for supporting me, I love you so much, what can I do for you? [...] Let’s take a photo, let’s take a TikTok."

​

​

I "And there’s no part of me either that’s like, 'I’m taking photos, I’m so famous, like I'm not humble. You f*ck off.'”

​

 

Tana then revealed that the woman continued screaming at her, stating that she "hates these [TikTokers]", until she suddenly attempted to hit Tana.

 

​

I "And then she comes at me, like ready to fight. And I’m not gonna lie, you can take the girl out the trap, but you can’t the trap out of the girl b*tch. Like, she’s coming at me [...] trying to fight me and I’m like, 'Let’s go, then.'"

​

 

Tana then described the fight briefly, retelling how she jumped over a table to "fight" the woman back.

I "And I just remember I was screaming. She was screaming at me trying to fight me and trying to push me and I’m like, jumping over a table, jumping over my friend’s back, trying to fight her back."

 

​

In the midst of it, however, Tana's loyal fan suddenly jumped in front of Tana, ready to defend her.

 

​

I "I’m not even kidding you, I tried to fight this b*tch and my fan fully jumped in front of her and was ready to fight."

​

​

I "It reminded me that even though what we have now [...] I’m still the same but my fans are just like me. Like she was down to fully f*cking throw hands."

 

​

Security eventually managed to tackle the woman before they dragged her out of the venue.
