On December 17, Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler), who is known for calling out fan behaviour, tweeted out that he had one of the most "genuine fan interaction ever".
Check out Finn's tweet below:
I "Whoever came up to me tonight thank you for one of the most genuine fan interactions ever!" - Finn Wolfhard.
Finn's tweet was reportedly just a couple of minutes after a fan had tweeted this:
I "Just walked past @FinnSkata in south ken and nearly choked on my mulled wine.. stay casual London."
Finn saw this and had commented below:
I "Were you with the group with the really nice girl who came up to me? Y'all were so polite."
Unfortunately, this specific fan wasn't the girl as she replied,
I "Nooo I was too shy to come say hi!! Damn it! Have the best time in London ❤️."
However, both of Finn's tweets have now been deleted. Fans can see screenshots of the original tweets here and here, uploaded by a fan page.
Anyway, it seems that Finn appreciates genuine fans and it looks like this fan made Finn's day. After all, fans know that Finn has had quite a few negative fan interactions in the past, notably during the time when Stranger Things shot to fame.*
*At the time, there was a controversy involving Finn where a few fans called Finn out for not stopping to interact with them.
A few months ago, at an interview with Glamour, Finn had agreed with It Chapter Two co-star, Bill Hader (Adult Richie Tozier), when he shared his experiences with fans.
During the interview, Finn agreed with Bill when Bill admitted that he would usually say no when a fan asked for a picture, but would agree to "[meeting] them". Finn replied that "that's usually what I like to do, too" but added that fans are "rarely ever [...] cool with it".
The Turning (2020) will premiere on January 24, 2020, and Stranger Things season 4 is expected to start shooting early next year in January 2020.
