On January 29, Gaten Matarazzo revealed to fans that he was about to undergo his 4th surgery for his cleidocranial dysplasia (CCD).

 

To those who don't know, Stranger Things' Gaten Matarazzo (Dustin) has cleidocranial dysplasia, a condition that "affects development of the bones and teeth". Gaten has since spoken out about it publicly, saying that having the condition meant that he wasn't "getting roles" since it created a "lisp", as well as his "teeth situation and [...] height".

 

However, in a turn of events, it did help him to book the role of Dustin in Stranger Things.

 

Anyway, to treat the condition, Gaten revealed to fans in an Instagram post on January 29 that he was undergoing his 4th surgery for cleidocranial dysplasia.
