Disney's Jessie star, Skai Jackson, has a book signing for "Reach For The Skai: How to Inspire, Empower, and Clapback" in LA for the first and last time on October 5.
That's right.
So this is something fans definitely won't want to miss out on. Check out what Skai wrote about the book signing:
I "IF YOU WANT TO MEET ME AT THE GROVE OCTOBER 5th [CLICK] THIS LINK!! THIS WILL BE MY ONLY MEET AND GREET IN LA EVER!! Love you guys."
The event will also be a photo op with the purchase of her pre-signed book on the day and is on a first-come, first-serve basis.
To further promote her book, Skai also promises to follow back fans who pre-order the book "Reach For The Skai" on Twitter.
And perhaps you'll meet another young star along the way? Skai's friend, Kyla Drew Simmons, known for her role as Becky in Netflix's No Good Nick (2019) and Mae in Nickelodeon's Nicky, Ricky, Dicky & Dawn (2014-18) revealed that she was going to be at the book signing.
I "I can’t wait... I’m going to be the first person in line😊" - Kyla under Skai's Instagram post.
So, what exactly is Skai's "Reach For The Skai: How to Inspire, Empower, and Clapback" about?
Basically, it focuses on Skai's journey on her rise to fame on Disney Channel, her struggles in the industry as well as dealing with insecurities about her looks. She also talks about the bullying she faced and how hard it was to find her real personality and separate them from her roles.
During an interview with YouTuber 'Bloveslife', she talks more about the book:
I “It’s kind of like my life story, how I got started in the industry, the struggles I faced in my life.”
I “A lot of people have a different perception of me and judge me for certain things about me, [and] think my life is perfect. And I’m like, no. I’ve been through the struggle, too. I kind of just break everything down. So it’s all in that book if anyone wants to know.
Reach for the Skai: How to Inspire, Empower, and Clapback can now be pre-ordered for its release on October 1.
