Shane Dawson RESPONDS To SeatGeek's Ad Comparison Of Superbowl & His YouTube Video

On February 2, Ian Borthwick compared an ad campaign on Superbowl to sponsoring a Shane Dawson's YouTube video. Shane has since responded to a fan's joke about the situation.
Let's rewind.
It all started with the Director of Influencer Marketing at SeatGeek, Ian Borthwick, who tweeted out a comparison between an ad campaign on Superbowl and sponsoring a Shane Dawson video.

I "98 Million watched last year's Super Bowl. 38 Million people watched the Shane Dawson vid we sponsored. The difference... Our ad is like if Pat Mahomes turned to the camera in the middle of a play and said "this next play is sponsored by SeatGeek" Oh, and their ad cost $6m."
The video that SeatGeek sponsored was "Investigating Conspiracies with Shane Dawson", back on February 12, 2019. It is over 1 and a half hours long in length, and received over 38 million views and over 1.7 million likes.
One of Shane's fan joked back, saying:
I "So what you're saying is: you owe Shane $5.5m?"
To which Shane responded with:
"U think I made 500k for that?!?? Maybe I should hire u to be my negotiator 😅"
How did fans react?
Altogether, fans are frustrated that Shane was paid so little for the sponsorship, considering the number of views his sponsored YouTube video received. Other fans also compared Shane Dawson's earnings to other YouTubers with sponsorship deals, insisting that Shane should've received a lot more than what he actually did.

SeatGeek is a search engine for "finding tickets to live entertainment a cinch." According to their website, they "search dozens of the biggest ticket sites and present the results all in one place."
