On January 3, Shane Dawson tweeted out about the recent fires in Australia, along with a news article that listed "legitimate donation links" that fans could click on for secure donations.

Along with the tweet, Shane also shared a screenshot of a map of Australia that highlighted the affected areas.

The link Shane included is to an article titled, "This Summer Has Been Catastrophic For Bushfires In NSW, Here’s How You Can Help".

The article lists 20 different links to various charities and organizations that fans can donate to which will "help out those affected by the NSW bushfires, including [...] native animals, pets and livestock".
