On 13 October, Riverdale's Lili Reinhart (Betty Cooper) revealed that she'd been writing a lot of poetry lately, and asked fans if she should publish another poetry book.
Let's rewind.
For those who don't know, Lili has previously published a collection of poems in a book titled “Swimming Lessons” last year in September 2020. The poems focused on themes such as young love, heartbreak, anxiety and depression.
There were many who felt the poems were too simple and short, but overall, "Swimming Lessons" was met with positive reviews.
Fast forward, and Lili took to Twitter to ask fans which platform she should use to share her new poems.
Check out Lili's tweet below:

So, what did fans say?
The majority of fans were quick to vote for another poetry book. As Lili already has experience in publishing a book, fans are excited to see how her poems have advanced and its potential for more depth.
I "i have 8 copies of swimming lessons and i would gladly buy 8 more of another book of your poetry😂💗"
I "I’m so excited to read your poems I really love to have another book [...] I really love to read your poetry [...]"
I "Book. I reckon that gives you the ability to control the narrative and for us punters, a volume of terrific poetry."
These fans also pointed out that books were more "personal and artistic", as opposed to social media which could potentially be "toxic" and open to "manipulation".
I "Books definitely a published book. Social media in general is toxic beyond belief. A book is way more personal and artistic"
I "book!! twitter opens it up to people who don’t care/appreciate and will poke fun or criticize something that they have absolutely no right to chastise"
I "Twitter is ephemeral and too easy for manipulation"
However, there are some fans who are hoping she’ll publish the poems via the social media route as more people would have access to it and allow for more interaction, i.e., through comments, likes and shares.
Riverdale season 6 will premiere on 16 November, 2021.
