Gaten Matarazzo has his schedule full this year doing practically everything under the sun.
The first to come to mind is Stranger Things season 3 which is set to be released on 4th July with Gaten returning as Dustin, the lovable one of the squad and, might we say, the best duo pairing with Steve Harrington (Joe Keery).
So, what’s next for the young up-and-coming 'Stranger Things star?
Well, next month in July, Gaten is on his way to lead in the Hollywood Bowl’s summer production ‘Into the Woods’. He’s successfully bagged himself the role of ‘Jack’ from Jack and the Beanstalk and his fellow castmates are as equally talented as you can expect.
Wow. Is Gaten nervous to be on Broadway, though?
Most definitely not! In actual fact, his career began on stage as Benji in an original Broadway production called ‘Priscilla Queen of the Desert’.
Welcome home, Gaten! Does anyone else wonder if he’s feeling nostalgic at the thought of performing back on stage?
Oh, and did we mention that Gaten is in 'Work in Progress?' AKA his band?
Yes, Gaten has a band named Work in Progress! It's just like fellow Stranger Things co-star, Finn Wolfhard and his band, Calpurnia. And you're in luck! 'Work in Progress' will be touring the country in the summer with the multi-talented Gaten on vocals. They’ll be performing their original songs as well as covers. Who else is as excited as we are?
And did we mention that his siblings are also in the band? Ah. Sibling love, anyone? Also, let's not forget that 'Work in Progress' has announced a release of an EP this summer!
