During The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, Millie Bobby Brown, star of Godzilla and the popular Netflix series, Stranger Things, reveals her close friendship with Robert Irwin.
Well, exactly how close are the pair?
"He's the best."
According to the young star, quite close as Millie says that 'he's the 'best' and that they 'often FaceTime each other.' And we can’t forget the fact that just recently, Millie flew out to Australia and hung out with the Australian TV personality himself and his sister, Bindi, at Australia Zoo.
Imagine being able to hang out with Millie Bobby Brown, one of the most popular teenagers on social media with an impressive following of 18.9 million on Instagram alone!
And what exactly did they do at Australia Zoo? Well, Robert persuaded Millie to put an actual live snake around her neck. Jeez, that sounds absolutely terrifying. But on the upside, Millie managed to find herself another talent … that is, the ability to put on a great Australian accent!
"I watched every segment."
As a good friend, Millie reveals that she loyally watched every segment of Robert whenever he was a guest on The Tonight Show. She mentions one segment where Robert shows off his millipede which he humorously named Millie Bobby Brown (after Millie, of course).
Fun fact: he’d FaceTimed Millie beforehand backstage, showing off Millie the millipede proudly, and Millie - and we don't blame her - didn’t find that very complimentary. Instead, she jokingly said that she was more horrified than anything!
Oh, and did we mention that this wasn’t the only conversation she had with Robert either? She actually FaceTimed Robert to ask for his advice on what pet she should get (because don’t we all get a little lonely now and then?).
Interestingly enough, she ended up settling on getting a tortoise.
Yes, you read that right. When she went to the pet shop, she saw a pair of tortoises and although she only had permission to get just one pet, she decided to get them both since they were 'husband and wife' and so, she couldn't separate them now, could she?
"Mother of Tortoises."
Humorously, Millie named the pair, Becky and David. Normal enough, right? But then the young Godzilla star took inspiration from Jon Snow, a character from the popular Game of Thrones series. How? Well, she loved his Northern English accent and so, the pair of tortoises now have a twinge of Northern English accent in their names.
She even jokingly calls herself the ‘Mother of Tortoises’, just like Daenerys, the ‘Mother of Dragons’ (also another character in the Game of Thrones series).
Ah. How quirky. So what else is going on in the starlet’s life right now?
Well, she's so busy doing the press tour for Godzilla nowadays and because of that, she admits she misses her new pets. So what does she do?
She'd find the time to FaceTime them every day.
Her family is, of course, are super supportive of this and whenever they ask her if she wants to see her beloved tortoises now, Millie would respond along the lines of “Er, does Eleven have superpowers?” (A reference from her Stranger Things Netflix series, for all of you who are living under a rock.)
She even says her tortoises recognise her face by now and would turn their tiny heads as if to say, “Omg. Not her again.”
