Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown challenges fans to the #NeverEndingChallenge!
There were many great moments in the latest Stranger Things season 3, but one that stood out the most was the scene where Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and his girlfriend, Suzie (Gabriella Pizzolo) sings 'Never Ending Story'.
Ah, who doesn't remember that scene? Before Suzie will help Dustin by telling him Planck's constant, i.e., the numbers that also happens to be the code to enter the room where they can stop the gate from opening, Suzie insists they sing 'NeverEnding Story'.
And who can forget the bemused expressions of the rest of the group when they hear 'Dusty-bun' singing it?
Well, fans are now declaring this as an iconic scene, and the video of them singing the song has already amassed over 2.3 million views on YouTube!
In fact, the original song that was released back in 1984 as a theme song for a film of the same name, saw huge spikes as fans searched for and listened to the song. Not only that, but the song's popularity is continuing to rise.
Of course, Millie then spots a huge opportunity to perhaps do something fun.
And that's when she challenges people to the #NeverEndingChallenge.
That's right. On July 10 after season three aired, Millie posted a video on her Instagram page where she lip-synced to Suzie and Dustin's rendition of the NeverEnding Story song.
And it's accompanied by a unique, yet hilarious, set of dance movements.
Fun fact: It also involved 'The Floss' from popular Epic Games' Battle Royale Fortnite.
In the description of the Instagram post, Millie wrote:
“I nominate YOU to do the #NeverEndingChallenge”.
Of course, her fans took on the challenge with many posting a version of themselves lip-syncing and dancing to the song within just an hour.
Millie had also stated that she would be reposting these on her Instagram stories, which she followed through, and now we can see all the lucky fans who are featured on Millie's stories!
Who else is jealous of those lucky fans? Even Stranger Things' Official Instagram hopped on in the fun by reposting her challenge as well as putting her lip-synched video side by side the original Dustin and Suzie's version.
