Haters are gonna hate, right? This definitely can’t be more true for one of the most popular actors from the hit Netflix series, the Umbrella Academy.

Who is it? That actor is, in fact, the one and only, Aidan Gallagher AKA ‘Number Five’.
“Wait, what?” We hear you saying. “What has Aidan done to get on the wrong side of a ridiculous amount of people?”
Well, the answer to that, is mainly the fact that he is an environmentalist.
Yes. An environmentalist.
So, here’s the backstory: In 2018, the impressive 15-year-old became the youngest ever UN Environment Goodwill Ambassador for North America. BUT. Many people are saying that Aidan is taking his role a little too far.
Aidan has been using his Instagram, YouTube and Twitter to actively advocate for organisations such as the WaterKeeper Alliance, WildAid and the Oceanic Preservation Society by tweeting and posting information to spread the word on the world’s environmental problems.
For example, the increasingly polluted oceans, climate change, air pollution and the importance of reducing plastic use.
And fans aren’t having it.
full offense but can @aidangallagher shut up for like one second
I thought you were cool before you started saying dumb s**t about animals and veganism, but I guess I'm a hater now
@aidangallagher is so f**king annoying and rude idk how anyone could stan him he acts all high and mighty it's disgusting
Along with these hateful comments are multiple clown memes of Aidan and the constant spam of clown comments and pictures under Aidan’s tweets.
So, why the hate?
He’s a 15-year-old who’s actually brave enough to voice what people frankly a) don’t care about, b) avoid or c) too afraid to voice out in fear of being on the side of the ‘oh so unpopular opinion’.
What haters think: Aidan’s just voicing out these issues to look good in the public eye.
What haters forget: Aidan once said if he wasn’t an actor or a musician, he’d have pursued a career as an environmentalist. So, this was actually something he’d always wanted to do. And now he has the chance to do all three, dammit, we’re happy to see him d
