Stranger Things’ Noah Schnapp’s grandmother has recently passed away, and in his tribute, Noah urges fans to send messages to their grandparents. And fans did.

 

Yesterday, on September 17, Noah posted a tribute to his grandmother on an Instagram post with a picture of her. (Read the full story here).

 

After the post, Noah posted this on his Instagram story:

“If there’s one thing i wish i did, it’s text, facetime, visit, and keep in touch with my grandma more. please text one of ur grandparents right now reminding them of how much u love them it will mean so much to them.

 

​

And many fans did just that.

 

Noah's Instagram was soon flooded with tags of screenshots of fans' texts to grandparents saying that they loved them, and they even included their grandparents' loving responses.

 

Of course, Noah saw all of this and even reposted a few on his Instagram story.

I [Fan]: hi grandma i just wanted to tell you that I love you.

I [Fan’s grandmother]: What a coincidence! I think of you all the time! I love you too!

I [Fan 2]: hey grams, i know it’s late but i just wanted to tell you that i love you tons. You’re a great example to me and i appreciate you a lot. I love and miss you so much!

​

I [Fan 2’s grandmother]: You just [made] my day! Thank you so much angel. I love you to the moon ad [sic] back a million times and I miss you tons. You are so beautiful and talented and you are such a great example to me. I will call you one day soon so we can chat. Have a good night angel.

With these initial fans’ posts, Noah added the caption: “go text them right now and tag me if u post it.”

​

Needless to say, this spurred fans on. In fact, hundreds of more posts flooded in, all of which tagged Noah, of course, and soon, Noah shared a caption on his Instagram story saying how happy he was.

And it wasn't limited to just America or the English language. Fans worldwide were sending messages, and these international fans shared their translated messages that were initially written in Spanish, German, Russian, French, Ukrainian and Portuguese.

 

We love that Noah inspired so much love in this moment of grief.

 

So, let’s all reach out for our phones right now and send that loving text. Who knows? It could very well make their day.
