On January 17, Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown wished Sabrina Alorusso a happy birthday, as well as fondly remembering Sabrina's twin sister, Olivia, who passed away due to cancer.

 

On the day, Millie posted a video to her Instagram Story, saying:

I "Happy Birthday Sabrina Alorusso, I love you, love you, love you so much. Um, I don't really call you ever Sabrina Alorusso, so it's actually really weird that I said that. But, hi Brie, I love you. Happy birthday, thank you so much for everything you've done. You've been an amazing friend to me, and I love you."

Millie also spoke fondly of Olivia, Sabrina's twin sister, saying that she missed her "every day".

I "With Sabrina's birthday obviously comes Olivia. I miss you every day, Olivia, and we're doing lots of work for you, including the Olivia Hope Foundation that your amazing family created, and the 'Love Liv' palette with Florence by Mills."

Millie then added a link to the Olivia Hope Foundation.

 

The 'Love Liv' palette was first released back in October 2019, with proceeds going to the Olivia Hope Foundation. The names in the palette were chosen by Olivia's sisters, Sabrina and Gianna.

 

After the Instagram Story, Millie's fans flocked to Sabrina's Instagram account to wish her a happy birthday.

 

 

So, what exactly is the Olivia Hope Foundation?

 

Millie was close friends with Olivia and her twin sister, Sabrina, since Stranger Things season 1. Sadly, Olivia passed away due to cancer in 2017. In her loving memory, her family created the Olivia Hope Foundation. (Read more here).

 

The Olivia Hope Foundation funds "research aimed at discovering targeted therapies, which have less caustic effects on children, and to improve the quality of life for all children and families suffering from childhood cancer."

 

Millie has already personally raised $40,000 for the Olivia Hope Foundation, as well as giving proceeds from the 'Love Liv' palettes to the foundation.
