On June 1, Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) uploaded a picture of herself and her friend to Instagram Story. People, however, quickly accused Millie of using her friend as a "token black friend".

In an Instagram Story, Millie uploaded two photos. One photo is of her and her friend holding hands in a public street. The second photo is zoomed onto the two friends holding hands.

However, this was amidst the Black Lives Matter movement, and people quickly accused Millie of using her friend as a "token black friend".

These people quickly slammed Millie for using her friend as a way to show that she supports the Black Lives Matter movement. Others accused her of doing so little, despite owning a successful makeup brand and starring in one of the most popular Netflix series, Stranger Things.

However, one Twitter user argued that this wasn't about Millie, and that people should try to focus on what actually matters.
