On January 1, Stranger Things star Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) uploaded an Instagram post to reveal how she is "fortunate" for her blessings in 2020.
Check out Millie's Instagram post below:
I "hey everyone! as the day turns into evening, our last of 2020, i wanted to take a moment to express my gratitude as i reflect upon this past year."
I "i recognise how fortunate i am to be blessed with a wonderful family who supports me, extraordinary, loyal fans who extend kindness and encouragement, i have a roof over my head, food to eat, warm clothes, friends and colleagues who i can count on….."
I "i know how much i have to be thankful for especially at this time when so many are struggling, coping with loss, fear, desperation and heartache."
I "i’ve learnt not to take life for granted, to embrace each day and live to its fullest extent, to smile and also try to make others smile, to say “thank you” more, to genuinely mean it when i ask, “how are you?” to say “i love you” with conviction, and to appreciate each day we have on this earth."
I "I’m leaping forward into 2021 with optimism, faith in the human spirit and our collective will to carry on. Love you all - mills xx"
The year had been a difficult time for everyone, and Millie is no stranger to the hate she receives. Unfortunately throughout the year, Millie had encountered several obstacles which eventually led to the young star becoming overwhelmed.
Back in January, Stranger Things' co-star Noah Schnapp (Will Byers) was forced to delete his TikTok video of the pair dancing when haters attacked Millie's outfit.
Later in November, Millie deleted her official TikTok account, and finally, on November 30, Millie became overwhelmed after describing an "uncomfortable" and disrespectful fan encounter.
Sadly, Millie also lost her grandmother in November. She posted a tribute on Instagram, revealing that she couldn't give her "one last snuggle" due to the virus, and that "Facetime was all that we had".
I "I couldn’t come home to give u one last snuggle because of Covid-19 so FaceTime was all that we had. I sang to you as much as my voice could take it, even when u were sleeping."
Meanwhile, Millie Bobby Brown is set to star in The Electric State based on a book written by Simon Stålenhag. Stranger Things season 4 is set to release in 2021.
