On January 11, Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) and Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) revealed what it was like to film Mileven's kissing scenes during their Q&A panel at West Hollywood, California.

​

Let's rewind.

 

First of all, it started with the interviewer asking if Millie and Finn were aware of the hashtag #Mileven. Both of them confirmed that they were, in fact, very well aware of it.

I "Yeah. It's been a while. It's been three years and still going strong. We’re aware. We’re very aware."

​

 

Through the hashtag #Mileven, several fans had asked Millie and Finn about their kissing scenes.

 

Finn immediately answered:

​

 

I "Oh, it was so fun."

 

​

To which Millie echoed:

​

​

I "Yeah, I think it was really fun."

​

 

Finn then told the hilarious story about how he reacted at the first script reading for Stranger Things season 3. In the first episode, there was a big opening featuring Russian scientists in the midst of their experiments. However, in the next scene, it switched suddenly to Mike and Eleven "sloppily" kissing.

 

Finn explained:

I "There was also the first moment of the table read, we were all, "this big opening, huge budget, explosions, sort of Russians, and it's like, cut to 'Interior, Bedroom, Day, Mike and Eleven sloppily make out on the bed.' I'm like what? How do you follow that with that?

 

​

Meanwhile, when the topic of Eleven's famous line, "I dump your ass" came up, Finn told the story of how his grandmother reacted to it.

I "My grandma told me when she was watching that scene, she went like this (claps) “Good for her”. Very cool, Grandma. not on my side, are you?"

(For those who don't know, the phrase "I dump your ass" became an iconic line, first uttered by Eleven to Mike after she dumped him for lying to her.)

What were some of the difficulties when filming Mike and Eleven's (Mileven) kissing scenes?

 

Regarding it, Millie revealed:

I "It's not easy. You've got to think about it. You’re being told to put your head a little bit more to the right or [purse] your lips more."

 

 

However, Millie added that the finished scenes looked "brilliant" and at the premiere, it even got her father's approval, much to the audience's laughter at the Q&A panel.

So, did the cast of Stranger Things learn any relationship advice from the characters or the show?

 

In Caleb McLaughlin's (Lucas) case, he accepted that the way Lucas acted around his girlfriend, Max (Sadie Sink), was usually not that great. Caleb gave an example of the time when Lucas spat water back into the water bottle after he had inconsiderately drunk the last sip without thinking about the rest of the group. Caleb declared this action as "dumb".

 

Then in another case, Lucas asked Max if that was a "zit" on her face. To this, Caleb said:

I "That's horrible. You never do that. [Lucas] has so much advice for relationships, but it doesn’t take it for himself."
