Most fans didn't know that Maya Hawke AKA Robin, the newest member of the Stranger Things' cast, had a role in Once Upon a Time In Hollywood. So how did fans react when they saw her on the big screen? Well, they definitely didn't overreact.
Nope.
After all, screaming when your favourite actress appears on the big screen is obviously not an overreaction.
Yep. They all loved it.
But wait, let's rewind.
Once Upon a Time In Hollywood is a comedy-drama movie set in 1969 Los Angeles. It follows TV star, Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), and his stunt double, Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt) as they make their way in an industry they hardly recognise anymore. The film is a "tribute to the final moments of Hollywood’s golden age."
Maya's character was Linda 'Flower Child' Kasabian, and she was only onscreen for a few minutes.
It was a minor role. But either way, fans were still over the moon.
Check out their tweets below:
Well, considering the massive reaction Maya's scene had, it definitely looks like we have a rising star on our hands.
Could Maya even be the next Millie Bobby Brown?
So what's next for Maya?
Hmm. If Stranger Things is to be renewed for a fourth season, which we're sure it will, fans will most likely see her return as Robin. There's no set release date yet, but according to The Independent and previous release dates, the fourth season will most likely premiere on Netlfix between mid to late 2021.
But for loyal fans who can't wait to see Maya back on the big or small screen, well, Maya currently starring in two upcoming movies.
First is the Human Capital, a movie loosely based on Stephen Amidon's novel, and is a remake of Paolo Virzi's 2013 Italian film. It focuses on the lives of two families when they are brought together after "their children begin a relationship that leads to a tragic accident".
Next is Mainstream, an American drama movie. The cast is pretty star-studded as it includes Andrew Garfield AKA Peter Parker from The Amazing Spider-Man (2012) and Nat Wolff AKA Light in Netflix's adaption of Death Note (2017).
Quite impressive, right?
Not to mention both movies are currently in post-production so they should be released fairly soon.
In the meantime, Stranger Things season 3 is available to stream on Netflix.
