On January 21, Lia Marie Johnson revealed her new boyfriend, Ryan Bowers, on Instagram Live, as well as giving fans a sneak peek of an unreleased song.

In the Instagram Live, Lia introduced Ryan Bowers, who is currently producing her new song, as her "new boyfriend" and "musical soulmate" and that they "met for real, less than 24 hours ago".

Her new boyfriend, Ryan, then says:

I "I'm Lia's new boyfriend. Hate on me."

However, after Ryan realises that there were 1500 people tuned into Lia's Instagram Live, he reacted with surprise.

Lia then replied that it was because she was "insane":

I "That's because I'm an insane [person]. That's cos people see an insane person, and they're like, "let me just check on this insane person who's constantly insane"."

Soon after, Ryan and one of Lia's male friend noticed comments from fans telling Lia to "figure out" herself before starting to date other people.

To this, Lia's friend said:

I "Mind your motherf**king business."

Ryan also added, laughing:

I "Mind your motherf**king beeswax."

Meanwhile, Lia's new unreleased song is playing in the background. Lia revealed that the song would "probably" be released by the end of this month.

She then explained that they were currently writing songs and that it was "a lot of fun". However, Lia then seemed to be a bit shy livestreaming in front of Ryan, and said:

I "Making a LIVE is weird, it's awkward. It's awkward."

At one point, during the Instagram Live, Ryan leaned in for a kiss, but Lia appeared to hesitate.

Ryan then joked:

I "Are you going to deny me on Live for real? You're going to do me like that?"

Lia then kissed his cheek and laughed which prompted Ryan to continue to say:

I "Denied on Live, 2000 people see me get denied,"

Ryan then insisted to fans that Lia does kiss him when she's not livestreaming.
