Fans DEFEND Kristen Stewart For Her Actress Of The Decade Award

On December 17, Elizabeth Banks tweeted out her congratulations to Kristen Stewart after she received the award for the Actress of the Decade Award. Fans also came to Kristen's defence amidst public backlash from those who believed she didn't deserve it.
Let's rewind.
The Hollywood Critics Association, formerly known as Los Angeles Online Film Critics Society (@LAOFCS), tweeted out that Charlie's Angels' Kristen Stewart will receive the Actress of the Decade Award on January 9, 2020.

Elizabeth Banks, co-star and director of Charlie's Angel (2019), then tweeted out her congratulations amidst the public backlash:
I "The @LAOFCS just named this gal Actress of the Decade and I couldn't agree more. She's an angel here on earth."
So, what exactly is the backlash?
Unfortunately, Kristen received backlash on social media from the public who felt outraged and bewildered.
They quickly took to Twitter to vocalised their thoughts that there are several other actresses who deserved the award more than Kristen, such as Scarlett Johansson and Jennifer Lawrence.
They also slammed Kristen by calling her "overrated", and voiced out that Kristen hadn't starred in many major films over the past decade.
However, fans leapt to Kristen's defence and argued back that the majority of the haters are judging her from her role as Bella Swan in Twilight and failed to see any of her other movies, such as Clouds of Sils Maria (2014) and Personal Shopper (2016). Due to this, they argued that the "haters"' hate is unjustified, biased and simply just jumping on the hate bandwagon.
I "Whether you like it or not, Kristen Stewart is the actress of the decade. You have no right to say that she doesn’t deserve it if you haven’t watched any of her movies other than Twilight or you’re just going along with what the public say about her. She’s an incredible actress."
