On December 27, Justin Bieber uploaded an Instagram post about Tim Hortons, calling for them to change the new lids on their takeaway coffee back to the previous version. And Tim Hortons responded!
First of all, check out Justin's Instagram post below:
I "@timhortons I know they could leak but it was easier to drink out of.. the coffe would come out better.. these new lids are uncomfortable on the mouth, and you get very little liquid each drink it's a damn outrage and needs to be changed back. Tbh it shouldn't be plastic find a way to be recyclable let's change the world 1 lid at a time."
In the post, there's a picture of the "old" Tim Hortons' coffee lid with the caption: "Who's Canadian and misses these lids at Tim Hortons like I do", which also included a poll that has 70% of the voters saying "yes".
To those who don't know, Justin previously posted a poll on his Instagram Story, asking his fans whether they preferred the "old" lids. According to the results, many favoured the "old" lids and weren't really thrilled with the new versions.
Justin then reposted several of his fans' comments on how "uncomfortable" and "hard to open" the new Tim Hortons' coffee lids are, and how they "disliked it".
So, what was Tim Hortons' response?
Less than two hours later, Tim Hortons responded with this:
I "Hey @justinbieber thanks for your feedback. Sorry you aren’t loving our new lids, but the good news is that they’re made with 100% recyclable plastic. We’d love to have you join our team that’s working to make them even better! DM us 😊."
Justin quickly reposted a screenshot of the conversation on his official Instagram account, saying:
I "We're making a a change one lid at a time. Thanks @timhortons."
To which Tim Hortons responded with:
I @justinbieber let’s do it!! ♻️💪
Altogether, fans are impressed with Tim Horton's quick response, and Justin's influence in getting something changed for the better.
Justin Bieber's new single, "Yummy" will be released on January 3, 2020. A snippet of the song can be seen here, and a US tour for the upcoming album is scheduled between July and September 2020.
