On November 24, HSMTMTS' Joshua Bassett posted a "mini documentary" on Instagram, and fans loved it so much that they demanded a "full" documentary!
Check out Joshua's Instagram post below:
I "my friend followed me to my hometown with a camera and we made this ! @samueldfisher"
In a VHS style, mini documentary, Joshua says:
I "Hi, my name’s Joshua Bassett. I grew up in Oceanside, California. Since I was about four, my older sisters have been doing musical theatre, and then as soon as I was old enough, I joined them."
I "And we all did musical theatre together. Because we were homeschooled, we would just finish our schoolwork as fast as possible and go create. Whether that’s filming short films, or go roller skating, or make up silly songs all the time on the piano. We always had a piano around and that’s where I learned how to play and ultimately learn how to write songs."
Throughout the mini documentary, a montage played in the background of a younger Joshua, family pictures, and shots of him walking along the beach and playing in what looks like his backyard.
Fun fact: Samuel Fisher, the director of Joshua's mini documentary, previously directed “How To Be Alone” by Lulu Simon.
How did fans react?
Fans are so over the moon with the mini documentary that they are demanding for a full length documentary to be shot.
High School Musical: The Musical: The Holiday Special will stream on Disney Plus on 11 December.
