On February 5, Jordan Fisher tweeted out his thoughts on High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 2 being centred around Disney's Beauty and the Beast.

 

Let's rewind.

 

For those who don't know, Disney+ announced on February 5 that High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 2 will focus on Beauty and the Beast as East High's next "spring musical".

 

Anyway, when Jordan found out, he tweeted out: "I'M CRY".

As Jordan already has singing experience from previous roles, such as Seacat on Disney's Teen Beach Movie and his recent role as Evan in Dear Evan Hansen on Broadway, fans are insisting that Jordan "be their guest" on the popular Disney series as a cameo in High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 2.

Disney+ has just released a small teaser for High School Musical: The Musical: The Series season 2. In a tweet by Disney+, they revealed a clip of the cast singing a piano rendition of "Be Our Guest" from Beauty and the Beast. The cast is gathered around a piano which Joe Serafini (Seb) is playing.

Disney+ later tweeted out that the cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series had officially started its table read for season 2. Attached to the tweet is pictures of the cast at the table read, and hawk-eyed fans spotted Hannah Montana's Jason Earles (Jackson) at the back.

Altogether, the majority of fans are calling for Sofia Wylie (Gina Porter) to receive the role of Belle with Matt Cornett (E.J. Caswell) playing the role of the Beast.
