James Charles On Dating 'Tall' Guys, Having Kids & Sliding Into DMs

In a series of Instagram Stories, Beauty YouTuber James Charles sets the record straight on whether he's only into "tall people", if he wants "kids" and about sliding into potential dates' DMs.
Let's rewind.
For those who don't know, James recently asked fans to send in assumptions they have about him.
I "send me assumptions you have about me and I’ll say if they’re true or false!!"
In a series of Instagram Stories, James then proceeds to answer popular assumptions. For instance, several fans asked James if he was "only into tall people".
In response, James stated that he was initially obsessed with "hooking up with tall people", with the tallest person being 7 feet tall.
I "I will be honest and say that when I first started getting with guys when I got to LA, I did use to be obsessed with only hooking up with tall people. I’ve literally hooked up with guys that were 7 feet tall."
However, James reveals that he is now older with more "experience". As a result, height doesn't matter as much as it had before and that he also valued other things besides that particular feature.
I "But now that I've gotten older and [gained] a little bit more experience and just really learned what I value in a relationship, it does not matter to me that much anymore."
James then adds that an ideal height would be around 6'1 to 6'2, although he has previously chatted with men shorter than him.
I "Of course, ideally, I would say I just love a guy that was 6’1 or 6’2. So just like a little taller than me but I’ve also talked to guys my height or a little shorter too.
Fun fact: James is 5'10, although he wishes he was shorter.
Another assumption is that James is unable to "date another social media influencer". In response to this, James explains that he has chatted with both "famous influencers" and "normal guys" and each had their pros and cons.
I "I’ve been in the talking phase with both famous influencers and just normal guys. They both have pros and cons so I'm open to anything really."
Another fan wonders how James feel about people who "shoot their shot", to which James reveals that he respects the confidence of those who take action and would actually prefer it if men would "do something" about their crushes on him.
I "I always respect when a guy has the confidence to shoot their shot. There have been so many times where I’ve slid in to a guy’s dms & they say, 'Lowkey I've always had a crush on you.' 🧐 Like okay thanks… Do something about it then. 😇"
Finally, does James want kids? At this time, the 21-year-old says no, but says, "you never know what the future holds".
