James Charles' TWEET About Hate From A 67-Year-Old Woman (Fans Accuse James of AGEISM)

On February 3, James Charles tweeted out that he received a "hate comment" from a 67-year-old woman. However, fans quickly accused James of his hypocrisy after he tweeted back with an ageist comment.

First, check out James' tweet where he slammed a 67-year-old hater for being "petty", and told her to go back to playing "bingo":

I "It's sad to think that some people truly never grow out of immaturity and pettiness lol I just got a hate comment from a 67 year old woman named cheryl 💀go back to your bingo game ma'am"

James' tweet was quickly met with mixed responses.

Firstly, several fans thought James' bingo comment was "hilarious", and tweeted out "jokes" about what they thought Cheryl does in her free time.

I "Hateful people are just sad people. Perhaps her family has stopped visiting her and she sprinkled her sour mood onto you. You're alright James 💚"

However, other fans called out James' hypocrisy. They pointed out that James called Cheryl's tweet "immature" and petty, yet proceeded to do the exact same thing. These fans also stated that James' tweet was "stereotypical" as well as "agist", and it caused some of James' fans to follow him with their own ageist comments.

Ageism is a form of discrimination (based on stereotypes) that are harmful to the older age group, and it's an issue which anti-ageism activist, Ashton Applewhite, speaks out about in a Ted Talk, titled "Let's end ageism".

James Charles wrapped up filming for his new Beauty Competition Reality show on January 25.
