On February 1, James Charles slammed the "I'm too busy" excuse, saying that if someone cares about a specific person, they will "make time" for them.

James then added:
I "I used to wake up at 6am, take all honors classes until 2pm, go home & film a makeup look for my aspiring channel, work my frozen yogurt job at 5pm, come home to multitask homework & editing at 11pm and maybe sleep at 2am if I was fast... no such thing as "too busy" if you care!!"
How did fans react?
Fans are actually split on James' tweet. Those who agreed praised James for calling out the excuse. These fans argued that what James said was true and that if someone used this excuse, it simply meant that they do not care.

However, there are also many who disagreed with James' statement. They pointed out that there was such a thing as "too busy" and there "not being enough time", especially if that person is overworked or facing personal struggles that would use up a lot of their time.
They also pointed out that those with mental illnesses, such as depression, find it much harder to socialize and that it doesn't mean that they don't care.
Others also believed that it's OK for people to prioritize themselves first, instead of trying to spread themselves too thin by trying to make time for others.

This isn't the first time James had called out people for using excuses.
In an Instagram Story, James told fans that his pet peeve is when someone fails to respond to his texts and make up "lame excuses" for it.
James Charles finished filming for his new Beauty Competition Reality show on January 25.
