On December 11, Beauty YouTuber James Charles speaks out about the "Brother & Sister" series.

 

For those who don't know, the "Brother & Sister" series involves James and his younger brother, Ian, doing various things for fun such as ASMR and talking conspiracy theories.

 

In a YouTube video where James ranks the "scandalous moments" in his career, he opens up about the "Brother & Sister" series, saying that he "would do it again" if he had the chance. However, he explained that the series will not be coming back as Ian would not rejoin him for future episodes.

I "Okay, so this next one is a 'Brother and Sister'. And I really want to put this in ‘may do it again if I had the chance’ because personally, I would do it again if I had the chance. But I know that Ian would not."

​

I "Unfortunately, 'Brother and Sister' will probably not going to be coming back."

James then clarifies that he "loved" doing the "Brother and Sister" series and that his brother had, too. He continues to say that the series had brought them "a lot closer" as brothers, and acknowledged that fans had loved the episodes too.

I "But I loved, loved, loved doing this and I know that Ian did as well. I brought him onto my channel to film a bunch of different videos together and we had so much fun while doing it. It brought us a lot closer and you guys love the videos as well."

​

 

Unfortunately, Ian realised that social media wasn't "really for him" and decided to part ways with it.

I "But throughout the process, Ian just realized that social media wasn’t really for him."

​

I "[...] Being a social media influencer was just not the path that he wanted to take and of course, as a brother, I respect him for that."

 

 

So what exactly is Ian doing now?

​

According to James, Ian has now moved to New York and is currently a model under IMG Worldwide, for which James is "incredibly proud" of.

 

 

I "[Ian] has since moved to New York and is a signed model with IMG Worldwide which I am so incredibly proud of him for."

The last 'Brother & Sister' episode was released on November 25, 2018.
