On December 25, Jacob Sartorius uploaded a YouTube video on his official channel, titled, "Playing My New Song For Random Strangers", where he goes undercover to ask strangers what they thought of his new song, "Party Goes Harder".

 

Let's rewind.

 

Jacob recently released a new song, "Party Goes Harder", which debuted on his YouTube Channel on December 20. In the "Playing My New Song For Random Strangers" video, Jacob tells fans that he'll be playing the song to random strangers in public to see what they thought about it.

 

The video is episode 10 of the "Life of Jacob Sartorius" series and is around 5 minutes long.

I "I'm going to be going in public with some headphones, asking random strangers what they think of the song without them knowing that it's my song. So basically, I'm gonna be going undercover today asking people how they feel about the new song."

 

 

I "Will they tell me they hate it? Will they tell me they love it? Let's go find out."

Out in public, Jacob told these strangers that it was his "friend's song", and asked them to listen to it and then rate it on a scale of 1 to 10.

​

And, to ensure that it's fair, Jacob approached strangers from different age groups. In total, he asked four teenagers and four adults all aged between 25-40 with an even split in gender. 

 

 

So, what were the strangers' reactions to his song?

All in all, the members of the public liked it! Most even bopped their heads to the beat of "Party Goes Harder".

"Party Goes Harder" debuts over a year after Jacob's previous release. Jacob has since called this a "new era" and has wiped his Instagram account. At the time of writing, there are only posts dating back to December 14, with the oldest being a sneak peek of his latest song.
