In an interview with Esquire Germany, Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) reveals that he believes people take TikTok "way too seriously".

Let's rewind.

For those who don't know, Finn has an official TikTok account with the username @bruised_soup, though it is yet to be verified. His first TikTok video was uploaded back in July 2019, and had amassed 5.5 million views.

Altogether, there are 6 videos in Finn's official TikTok account with a total of 15.7 million likes. The last video the Stranger Things' star posted back was on March 2020 with the following description:

"people have been asking for more tik toks. Here you go. Bye forever?? #fyp"

A few months later in November 2020 during a Fanmio Meet and Greet, Finn revealed that one of the reasons why he stopped creating TikTok videos was due to his friends (read more here). Despite that, he told hopeful fans that he might make a "comeback" one day.

Fast forward, and in a interview with Esquire Germany, Finn finally opens up on his true feelings about TikTok, and how he thinks people take TikTok "way too seriously".

"I’d say Instagram is, to me, way more fun than TikTok. I’ve never been into TikTok.""

"I made a few dumb videos and people ask me if I want to come back and I don’t really want to because I think people take that app way too seriously."

Finn then ended his thoughts by stating how he doesn't "suit" TikTok, and vowing to never creating another TikTok video.

"But I don’t think I really suit the TikTok thing. And [...] in a lot of ways, I just don’t really like it. [...] And mark my words, I’m never coming back to TikTok.

Although Finn believes that social media is "ridiculous", he stated that social media platforms could be used to do “great things” as they can reach a large audience.

"I think [social media] could be used for pretty amazing things. I think people can reach a pretty wide audience and do great things with their platforms.

Stranger Things season 4 is now filming.
