On January 13, Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) reacted to Adam Sandler's Uncut Gems (2019) Oscar Nominations 2020 snub.

 

Finn Wolfhard has been a long-time fan of Uncut Gems (2019), a fact that he has made publicly known to fans in various tweets and Instagram posts.

 

For example, the day after Uncut Gems' trailer premiered, Finn tweeted out:

I "I haven’t been this excited for a movie to come out in a long time."

 

 

Later, on December 6, Finn also tweeted:

I "Uncut Gems. Thank you. Thank you for making movies like this. THANK YOU @JOSH_BENNY @AdamSandler."

However, Finn didn't leave it at that, because he then praised it again on his official Instagram account on the same day:

With 92% on Rotten Tomatoes by critics and 20 wins and 67 nominations, Uncut Gems seemed to be a strong contender for at least one Oscar nomination in 2020.

 

However, when the nominations rolled around, Uncut Gems received zero nominations. (Adam has since responded to the snub.)
