Finn Wolfhard Thinks Richie Tozier Would Drive Mike Wheeler 'Crazy'

"I don’t think Mike [Wheeler] and Richie [Tozier] would get along." Finn Wolfhard says.

On January 10, Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard revealed to a fan that he doesn't believe his characters Mike Wheeler from Stranger Things and Richie Tozier from IT would get along!

During a Fanmio Meet and Greet, a fan asked Finn which characters out of all the movies he had acted in would get along with each other.

I "Based on the characters you play, who do you think would get along with each other?"

After thinking for a moment, Finn replied that he thought all the character he has played "wouldn't like each other".

I "I think all of the characters that I’ve played wouldn’t like each other. I don’t think Mike and Richie would get along. I think Boris would really freak all the characters out."

For context, Mike Wheeler is the calm leader of the tight-knitted group in Stranger Things whereas Richie is the foul-mouthed and talkative member in the IT's The Loser Club. Meanwhile, The Goldfinch's Boris Pavlikovsky is prone to drug experimentation and criminal activities.

However, if Finn had to pick, he would have said that Mike Wheeler from Stranger Things and Richie Tozier from IT would be the closest to being friends, although they still wouldn't exactly be "friends".

I "Maybe Mike and Richie actually, that would be the closest but he would definitely drive Mike really crazy."

When another fan asked which character Finn related to the most, Finn chose Richie.

I "Probably Richie because he just likes to make a joke out of everything. He’s my favorite character to play for sure."

However, Finn added that Boris was a "really fun character to play" because it was more of a "serious" and "dramatic role" which he had never done before.

I "I got to play this character called Boris in this movie called The Goldfinch. That was really a fun character to play and it was a character that I hadn’t played before."

I "I’d played Mike and Richie from Stranger Things, but I’d never played a really serious, dramatic role so those were probably my favourites."

Finn also reiterated that he's "proud" of his performance as Boris in The Goldfinch.

I "I’m proud of that performance a lot. It was different from anything I’d ever done before."

Stranger Things season 4 is currently filming.
