On January 26, Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia (2020), in which Stranger Things' Finn Wolfhard (Mike Wheeler) starred in back in 2017, finally premiered at the Sundance Film Festival.
For those who don't know, Finn starred in a small segment in Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia (2020), which consisted of a series of short films that are set in Miami. It is also centred around a "47-foot TopGun Cigarette" speedboat.
Finn also acted alongside The Mindy's Project Adam Pally (Dr Peter Prentice), playing the role of his nephew. The segment was filmed over two years ago on August 9, 2017.
In an Instagram post, Finn revealed that it was "one of the best experiences" in his life so far.

Other stars include Pitch Perfect's Adam DeVine (Bumper Allen), Happy Endings' Casey Wilson (Penny Hartz) and The Last Man On Earth's Mel Rodriguez (Todd Rodriguez).
There are a total of 14 directors credited for Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia (2020).
What are the reviews saying?
Altogether, the reviews are split. Some critics praised the movie, whilst others criticized its storyline.
I "An inexplicable, unforgettable, see-it-to-believe-it ode to one of the country’s most unique cities, [...] hilarious enough to entertain a wider audience than just the cult crowd it’s guaranteed to please." - Slashfilm
I "It’s eerie, sad, ironic and hilarious. Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia is all of these things and more." - Vague Visages
I "But one of the other central problems with Omnibus is a lack of thematic unity. With the filmmakers presumably given free rein to tackle their speedboat stories in whatever ways they choose, the overall film doesn’t cohere." - Screen Daily
I "Overall, Omniboat: A Fast Boat Fantasia falls flat trying to throw so many things into the blender in an attempt to resist criticism with an IDGAF attitude." - The Film Stage
In other news, Finn Wolfhard will be directing a short film called "Night Shifts" which he also wrote and financed through a crowdfunding campaign. Stranger Things season 4 is expected to start filming this month.
