"This is Finn. [...] If you follow my other account, @finnwolfhardofficial… Don’t follow it, okay? It’s run by my dad.’’ Finn Wolfhard jokes.

On 4 October, Stranger Things’ Finn Wolfhard created a new account on Instagram. Fans, of course, are quickly dubbing it as a "parody account".

Let’s rewind.

For those who don't know, Finn already has an official Instagram account @finnwolfhardofficial with 21 million followers and over 1,209 posts. However, on 4 October, Finn created a new account by the name of Finjamin Banks (@finnjee.la).

The new Instagram account has already amassed over 92,000 followers in less than a day, with just a single video post for an introduction. Finn, however, gives it credit by following it from his main Instagram account.

Check out the first post on Finn’s parody account:

"This is the first day of my life 🗣️"

In the short video, Finn introduces himself before he urges fans to stop following his official account as it’s run by his father who doesn’t care about his fans.

"What’s up, guys? This is Finn. It’s the first post for Finnjee.la. If you follow my other account @finnwolfhardofficial… Don’t follow it, okay?"

"It’s run by my dad. He doesn’t give a sh*t about you guys, okay?"

Whilst in character, Finn adds that his father was only interested in "gambling and money’’, and the fans who follows his main account are not "real supporters".

"All he cares about is gambling and money so [if you] follow it, then you’re probably not even a real supporter."

So, why should fans follow Finn’s new Instagram account?

According to Finn, Finnjee.la is an account "made by real people". He then shares a little of what content fans can expect.

"Finnjee.la, it’s a real account made by real people. It’s going to be me in LA, going to the Hollywood sign [and] hiking round Grand Canyon with all my best friends*."

*Here, Finn jokingly edits in a picture of Charli D'Amelio as one of his "best friends".

Finally, Finn ends the short video by telling fans to support his "Patreon" in the Instagram bio.

"Well, check out my Patreon also in the bio and maybe you’ll see even more exclusive content. Finnjee.la. Let’s do this."

For those who don’t know, Patreon is a platform where fans can go to support their favorite content creators with a monthly subscription.

However, at the time of writing, Finn didn't include a Patreon link in his Instagram bio which could either mean he will do it at a later date, or is trolling his fans as Finjamin.

So, what can fans expect from Finnjee.la?

It's likely Finn will continue posting on the new account in the same format as his first post. The posts will most likely centre around the character, Finjamin, and follow him around LA in a slightly scripted vlog style format. At the very least, we can expect a lot of laughs from Finjamin!

Fun fact: Elsie Richter (Elsie Pearls), who Finn is rumored to be dating, also follows the parody account.
