On October 8, Dove Cameron released her official music video, "Bloodshot", and let's just say it's a massive understatement to say that fans loved it.

Let's rewind.

First of all, fans were already impatiently waiting for the official music to debut. On Twitter, it was chaos.

Why? Well, because it was delayed due to technical reasons.

Check out Dove's tweet below:

"hey y’all sorry about bloodshot MV we had some technical issues. we didn’t forget!! coming tomorrow 🌹."

Fans, of course, were understanding. After all, these things do happen.

"Girl, we’ve been waiting for music for 6 years... can can wait another day for the music video. no need to apologize. we love you🖤."

"Don't worry my queen !! We will wait for everything to be ready, and nice tomorrow, just try to rest all 💖🤗💕."

But, naturally, as when all technical issues arise, they are fixed. Because Dove's official "Bloodshot" music video soon debuted successfully on YouTube.

And fans were ecstatic.

Check out these excited fans' reviews below:

"@DoveCameron this is the most ethereal, emotional, beautiful and vulnerable video I’ve ever seen! The emotion you are portraying and the light and your beauty! A pure masterpiece! I don’t know how you just made me love bloodshot even more than before!!"

"@DoveCameron ur art is incredibly beautiful. In the bloodshot mv we can see a part of you that it’s so especial and expressive, thank u for sharing this w us... we luv u so much bby 🥺❤️ #BloodshotMV"

In Dove's own words; "'Bloodshot' is about loss, whatever form that takes for you, whether that's a breakup, a friendship that ended, or a death. A universal feeling, loss."

One specific line that fans pointed out to be their favourites was, "The colours are different, foreign and beautiful."

And it just so happens to also be Dove's favourite lyrics from her batch of tracks! The line represents sadness, but Dove explained that "there's a beauty in sadness".
