On December 30, Dixie D'Amelio reveals to fan the new hashtag for her "creator of the month" competition, after the removal of her previous hashtag #dixpicks by TikTok.
For those who don't know, Dixie first announced that she will pick a "creator of the month" from users who upload a TikTok video using the hashtag #dixpicks. There will be a winner once a month who will receive a PR package and the opportunity to talk to Dixie and other creators.
However, since then, TikTok has flagged and removed the hashtag, which meant that Dixie had to rename it to #pickedbydixie.
Check out what Dixie says below:
I “The #dixpicks will be changed to #pickedbydixie. If you already posted a video, I’m so sorry but you’ll have to post another one. We’re just going to start fresh."
I "#Pickedbydixie, put your videos under there and I would love to pick one person before the end of 2020 kind of to start the year off right. So get your videos in soon."
Dixie had previously mentioned that #dixiepicks would be her next choice, however, it appears that the hashtag hadn't been approved by TikTok either.
Who is the first winner of Dixie's #pickedbydixie competition?
Dixie has since picked a winner for the month of January. Unfortunately, fans were disappointed by her choice as the chosen user already had over 250,000 followers.
