Dixie D'Amelio ANNOUNCES #dixpicks For 'Creator Of The Month' Idea

On December 28, Dixie D'Amelio announced to fans that she will be picking a "creator of the month" and the winner will receive a PR package and opportunities to talk to herself and other creators.
In a TikTok video, Dixie explains that entries must use the hashtag #dixpicks.
[UPDATE: The hashtag was flagged and removed from TikTok. It has now been replaced to #pickedbydixie].

I "I had a really cool idea [...] to do a ‘creator of the month’. And [...] you would use a hashtag. I’m using the hashtag ‘#dixpicks’ because I think that’s very creative."
I "And one person a month [...] would be 'creator of the month'. [...] That person would get a PR package, but basically all the things you would need to help grow your account, help be a better creator, and just things that I think would be very helpful to someone."
Dixie adds that the winner will also get "tons of opportunities" to talk to her and their favorite influencers.
I "I’ll definitely start thinking more about how to make this experience really cool. I will definitely give you tons of opportunities to talk to me and talk to other people who you’re big fans of and connect you with them."
Moreover, Dixie says that the applicants do not need to be a fan of her or even "like her" to enter as she just wants to "help grow the community".
I "You don’t have to be a fan of me to do this, you don’t need to like me. But I just wanted to help grow the community and kind of make this a really fun thing for everyone."
The next day, Dixie clarifies that if someone enters and does not get picked, they do not lose the chance to enter again the next month.
I "Just because you do it now, and don’t get picked on the first one, doesn’t mean you can’t picked for all of them. And it doesn’t mean you can’t make more videos after.
How did fans react to the hashtag #dixpicks?
Of course, fans immediately understood the implication of the hashtag's name. However, fans quickly speculated that Dixie had purposely chosen the name as she "liked" the following comments about the hashtag on TikTok:
