Dacre Montgomery BECOMES Australian Red Cross AMBASSADOR

On January 20, Stranger Things' Dacre Montgomery (Billy) announced to fans on Twitter that he will be joining the Australian Red Cross as their ambassador.
Check out Dacre's tweet below:
I "Thrilled to announce that I will be joining as an ambassador to the Australia Red Cross. In a time of great suffering I believe we achieve a lot together to bring help to those who need it most."
Dacre also uploaded an Instagram post, announcing it:
I "Their purpose is to protect life and provide assistance to those in need, without discrimination. [...] Australia desperately needs your help. Please donate now to my GoFundMe (link in bio) all proceeds go straight to the Australian Red Cross."
This comes just over two weeks after Dacre first created a GoFundMe fundraiser appeal on behalf of the Australian Red Cross Society for the Australia fires. Dacre has since been a huge advocate for the cause, spreading awareness of the situation, giving timely updates and also using his platform to ask fans to donate to the cause.
As a result of Dacre's wide reach, the GoFundMe "Australian Wildfire Support" raised over $372,000 with over 16,300 donors. As of now, donations are still coming in strong.
Stranger Things' Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven) has also supported Dacre's GoFundMe by sharing it on her Instagram Story along with the caption: "this is important. please donate".
In other news, Dacre Montgomery attended the SAG Awards 2020, along with his girlfriend, Liv Pollock. Meanwhile, Millie also attended it and uploaded a short Instagram clip of her becoming flustered as the photographers tried to get her attention to pose for a picture.
