Dacre Montgomery DESPERATELY ASKS Fans To Donate To Australia FIRES (GoFundMe)

On January 3, Stranger Thing's Dacre Montgomery (Billy Hargrove) tweeted out an earnest clip to fans asking them to donate to his GoFundMe to help aid the Australia fires.
Check out what the Australian actor says below:
I "As you're sitting there watching this video on your phone, I want to ask you for your help. Australia is in dire need of your help. There is so many communities on fire right now. Half a billion of animals have died. And we've lost an area the size of Belgium to wildfires. We're experiencing our hottest summer on record, and we need your help."
I "There are communities that needs evacuation now. There are firefighters that needs supporting now. So join the fight. Donate to my GoFundMe."
On his Instagram post, Dacre wrote: "URGENT! Australia is burning! We need your help."
At the time of writing, Dacre's GoFundMe, titled, "Australian Wildfire Support" has received over $138,800 of its target of $250,000, with over 6,000 donors. In just 12 hours, the fundraiser had managed to raise $120,000 as a result of Dacre's wide reach.
In an Instagram post, Dacre thanks his fans:
I "12 hours, 20,000 donations and we’ve already raised 120K!! I cannot thank you all enough! I have now upped our target to 250K! This money IS helping. You ARE making a difference. Please, I urge everyone to continue to share this and the link (in my bio) to my GoFundMe. Australia NEEDS your help."
Fellow Stranger Things' star, Millie Bobby Brown (Eleven), commented, "Yesss !!🙏🙏❤️❤️" to the post, and also shared Dacre's GoFundMe on her Instagram Story, along with the caption: "this is important. please donate".
Meanwhile, fans are praising Dacre for using his platform to help those affected by the Australia fires.
Altogether, Dacre organised this fundraiser appeal on behalf of the Australian Red Cross Society. In an Instagram Story, Dacre also shared other charities that fans could donate to.
However, Dacre reassured fans that it was fine if they couldn't donate and that sharing the news was enough.
I "If you do not have a way of donating. The best thing to do is share and re tweet my video with donation link so that others can help. Share any news surrounding the catastrophic events unfolding in Australia currently."
