On December 25, Descendants' China Anne McClain (Uma) posted a family picture on Instagram of herself and her family wearing matching black sweaters with the labels "I'm a person" and "Not a label".

In the Instagram post, she writes:

"Merry Christmas:) if you want to get us a gift, you can donate to @thecameronboycefoundation for us. link is still in my bio. happy holidays.❤️"

For those who don't know, Cameron Boyce is China's co-star, who also starred in Disney's Descendants as Carlos. He sadly passed away on July 6, 2019, due to complications of epilepsy.

As a result, The Cameron Boyce Foundation was created for the purpose of "honoring Cameron's legacy by supporting the causes important to him". The causes include ending gun violence and clean water. The foundation also pledged to advocate for epilepsy awareness.

According to the FAQs, the foundation is "managed by Cameron’s family and close representatives from his business as an actor."

After his passing, several fellow Disney stars, along with China, shared their tributes on social media along with the link to The Cameron Boyce Foundation.

What is China McClain up to now?

China currently stars in CW's Black Lightning as Jennifer Pierce/Lightning. Black Lightning is an American superhero drama series that focuses on Jennifer's father, Jefferson Pierce, a high school principal who must become "Black Lightning" once again to protect his community.

On December 21, China recently shared to fans a behind-the-scenes clip of her "flying" on the set of Black Lightning.

Fans can watch the trailer here.

Black Lightning season 3 is currently airing on The CW with the first two seasons available to stream on Netflix.
