On February 11, TikTok star, Charli D'Amelio, revealed to fans that she was "getting her passport". However, Charli later tweeted that she was having some problems with her passport photo.
Earlier in the day, Charli announced to fans that she was going to get her passport.

I "am i really awake at 7 am pour why ahaha i need sleepy but it’s to late now it’s time to start my day i’m getting my passport"
However, half an hour later, Charli revealed that she was experiencing some problems with her passport photo.

Fans quickly flooded the comments section, telling Charli that she was perfect the way she was. Several fans then slammed the passport employee for being "rude" by pointing it out.
What's the issue?
In the past, people have experienced difficulties with passport photos being "rejected" due to software errors that don't recognize "small eyes". Back in 2016, a particular incident was publicized on the news, where a New Zealand man of Asian descent had his passport photo rejected due to the software stating that his eyes were "closed", even though his eyes were clearly open. In other news, Charli recently opened up about the online hate she receives on TikTok and social media in an interview with UNICEF as part of #SaferInternetDay.
According to Charli, the most hurtful comments are those about her weight or her appearance, and the ones that call her "ugly".

She explained that comments about her body shape or body type "hits close to home" because she struggled with "body image, body dysmorphia and bad eating habits."
