So, what exactly are fans doing in retaliation to the sexualized tweets about Billie?
Well, loyal fans are quickly coming up with more wholesome tweets in their attempts to show people that not everything has to be sexualised when a person turns of age.
Check out these fans' tweets below:
I "Billie Eilish is 18 now??? Y'all know what that means.. 😏😏 That's right! She's legally allowed to ride a bicycle without wearing a helmet under Manitoba law!"
I "Billie Eilish just turned 18, so you know what that means? She can legally play M rated video games such as God of War, TLoU, Saints Row 2 and even the Halo trilogy!"
I "Billie Eilish is 18 years old. Y'all know what that means 😏😏 that's right. She is legally allowed to operate a 2019 Viper Rt80 8000lb Air Pneumatic Forklift Hatz Diesel Lift Truck... with proper certification, of course."
Altogether, these fans are fighting against sexism, objectification of celebrities, and respecting people in general. The main theme of someone turning of age shouldn't have to be focused on "sex" and countdowns to a celebrity's 18th birthday that hints at that should definitely not be normalized.
