On January 3, Ariana Grande "liked" a tweet by an American politician, Bernie Sanders, who stated that the US must "firmly commit to ending U.S. military presence in the Middle East."
Check out the full tweet below:
I "We must do more than just stop war with Iran. We must firmly commit to ending U.S. military presence in the Middle East in an orderly manner. We must end our involvement in the Saudi-led intervention in Yemen. We must bring our troops home from Afghanistan."
This comes after US President Donald Trump ordered and successfully "terminated" a top Iranian commander named Qasem Soleimani.
On the same day, Ariana also "liked" a Twitter clip of Sanders in an interview speaking on "Face the Nation" six months ago where he spoke about President Trump's "limited strikes":
I "The idea that we're looking at a president of the united states who number 1, thinks that a war with Iran is something that might be good for this country. [...] 'Just a "limited" strike' [sarcastically], Oh, well, I'm sor-ry, I just didn't know that it was okay to simply attack another country with bombs. [...]. That's an act of warfare."
Who is Bernie Sanders, and what is Ariana's relationship with the American politician?
For those who don't know, Bernie is a democratic presidential candidate who firmly believes in bringing US troops back home and decreasing the defence budget.
Ariana has previously openly endorsed Bernie and had successfully gotten 20,000 of her fans to register to vote. She also posed for a picture with Sanders which she posted on her Twitter page.
So, how did fans react?
Altogether, the majority of fans are praising Ariana for endorsing Sanders.
Check out their tweets below:
I "Im going crazy rn this is amazing. Thank you for being a part of Bernie's movement! #NotMeUs."
I "20k+ young voters ... ariana do u understand how important this is ur literally inspiring an entire generation to use their voice !! lots of luv for u and headcount for making this possible."
I "We... are crying?? 😭😭😭 Thank you, @ArianaGrande for being a part of this revolution! ✊🏼✊🏽✊🏻✊🏿✊🏾"

Fans are also suggesting for Ariana to help explain to her young fans how, when and where to vote when the time comes.
Sanders has had several celebrity endorsements so far, including Cardi B, Jason Mraz and Miley Cyrus.
