On January 28, Chicken Girls' Annie LeBlanc (Rhyme McAdams) announced to fans on an Instagram Story that she was going to be more active on social media. However, she then implied that there were things "going on at home" that fans didn't know about.

Let's rewind.

Fans will know that Annie LeBlanc has been quite inactive on her social media accounts recently. Although she used to post YouTube videos regularly, the last video she uploaded was 3 months ago. In December alone, she posted a total of only 2 tweets and 4 Instagram posts.

Fans have been concerned that the fandom was "dying" due to Annie's inactivity and had been urging Annie to post more. Others even brought up other influencers who still managed to find the time to post on social media and interact with their fans.

"Annie please be more active with your fans! I’m not forcing you to but are fandom is dying and I’m really upset that you are not posting as much as you used to, love you so much🥺❤️"

"Please start being more active with your fans! [...] other influencers [...] still make time for their supporters."

Unfortunately, in the entertainment industry, fans expect celebrities to be active on social media. Recently, Spider-Man: Far From Home's Zendaya (MJ) clapped back at a fan for constantly asking her to "tweet" more. (Read more here).

Annie has finally spoken out about her social media inactivity in a series of Instagram stories, explaining that she would try to be more active.

"hey guys i really am going to try and be more active with you. you guys have been nothing but good to me and i understand where most of you are coming from."

She then continued to say that there was "a lot going on at home" at the moment and asked fans to be "nice and support one another".

"w [sic] that being said i do have a a [sic] lot going on at home right now that you guys don't know abt so if we could all just be nice and support one another that would be great. i appreciate and love u guys."

Annie LeBlanc plays Rhyme in Chicken Girls, a TV series produced by Brat. It is one of Brat's most successful shows, helping to bringi in "15 million unique viewers" in just three months back in 2018.

Chicken Girls season 6 is expected to premiere in February 2020.
