On December 19, Netflix's The Umbrella Academy sent their Christmas greetings with a Christmas photo of the Hargreeves' siblings... and Aidan Gallagher responded as Number Five!

​

Let's rewind.

 

It all started when Netflix US posted an Instagram picture of The Umbrella Academy's cast, in character, all wearing bright Christmas sweaters. All of them, except Number Five.

 

On Instagram, Netflix US wrote:

I "from our dysfunctional family to yours, happy holidays!!!! ❄️"

​

Anyway, fans immediately picked up on Five's lack of Christmas sweater and suspected that he most likely thought it was too "childish" to wear.

Well, fans didn't have to wonder too hard, as Five (Aidan Gallagher) soon responded with an Instagram Story:

I "Happy Holidays?! What part of End of the World do you people NOT understand?!"

​

 

Aidan then added another post, but this time, it was zoomed onto his face.

 

​

I "Yes that's blood on my face. No it's not mine. Anyone else want to ask me to wear a holiday sweater?! Beware: Season 2 coming soon."

Obviously, Five is too busy with other serious matters than celebrating Christmas!

 

Of course, Justin H. Min (Ben Hargreeves/Number Six), never the one to miss out on a conversation, saw the post, and amusingly responded:

I "there was room in our sweater for one more but nOooOOoOOOo."

Justin is hilariously referring to the two-person Christmas sweater that Ben (himself) and Klaus (Robert Sheehan) is wearing.

 

 

So what are fans wishing Five for the Holidays?

 

The Umbrella Academy asked fans what they wish for the Hargreeves' siblings for the Christmas holidays. Well, for Five, fans are wishing him a decent cup of coffee, therapy, and to find happiness with another human companion.

 

The Umbrella Academy season 2 wrapped up filming in November 2019.
